Can the Interactive Literacy CD-ROMs be used on individual computers or just whiteboards?
Solution:
The CD-ROMs are specifically designed for children to use the activities on individual machines and whiteboards. All text and instructions can be listened to/repeated using the sound icons available to support independent learning. This resource is ideal for integrating the use of your whiteboard into literacy lessons and includes a mixture of both teacher-led activities alongside those that children can do independently on an individual computer.

Do I need to purchase a Site Licence?
Solution:
If you want to install the Interactive Literacy software on more than one computer OR on to your school network, you must purchase a Site Licence to accompany your single-user CD-ROM. Once you have a Site Licence, then you can use the software on as many computers within your school as required.

I have ordered a Site Licence but I haven't received anything
Solution:
We don't send out separate licences – the invoice for your Site Licence serves as proof of purchase and we advise you to keep a copy of this for your records.

Yes, all our interactive software products are designed to be compatible across all the different makes of whiteboards, including Promethean and Smart boards.

What does the Teacher's Book include?
Solution:
A Teacher's Book accompanies each CD-ROM and provides lots of creative ideas for maximising the use of these resources in the classroom. For each unit, the Teacher's Book provides clear objectives for reading, writing and speaking and listening that are linked to the Literacy Framework. For each screen there are supporting notes on using the screen to deliver the objectives - ideal for teachers who are less confident in using whiteboard resources in literacy lessons.

Does the software work on Macs/PCs/RM networks/other?
Solution:
The software is dual platform and will therefore work on PCs and Macs. It is designed to be networked (but can be stand-alone), and will work on RM networks (you may need further support in setting up the product on an RM network, but help is at hand from our technical support team – tel: 08456 121454).

Solution:
For teachers that prefer to work with electronic lesson plans, we can offer the contents of the Teacher's Book in a Word format. Customers that purchase an Editable Teacher's Book will receive a letter that includes instructions on how to download the Editable Teacher's Book from our website (including a username and password).
