This program will certainly make my life easier! It is based on the QCA Scheme of Work for ICT and offers activities which develop skills in each of the required strands. The skills are progressive, with challenging activities and an integrated task to allow pupils to use the knowledge they have learned. There is a comprehensive and informative assessment grid. The activities are designed for the pupils to use independently. Detailed lesson plans are provided for each activity, which include ideas for a whole-class introduction. This is a user-friendly program with simple-to-follow instructions and thorough teacher support notes. This program will help teachers deliver the QCA Scheme of Work for ICT and can be used on its own, with additional materials that are available, or in conjunction with tasks or programs which are already used in school. A very useful resource that will provide you with lots of ideas, ready-to-use activities or a whole year's planning for ICT teaching!

The Year 1 CD-ROM provides a wealth of computer activities, directly linked to the QCA Scheme of Work providing teachers with: detailed teacher's notes with step-by-step instructions for each lesson, ready-to-use computer-based activities, a comprehensive assessment tool, and integrated tasks at the end of each unit.

The Year 1 CD-ROM provides a range of fun and interesting activities, which offer full coverage of the ICT Curriculum for Year 1. Support notes for each lesson are provided, together with lesson plans, whole-class introductions to each lesson, assessment activities and challenge activities. Monitoring and assessment is easy due to the program's class assessment record and individual pupil records. The software is bright and colourful and its content and visuals will appeal to Year 1 children. All instructions have audio buttons attached to aid independent learning.

These are excellent CD-ROMs and I will definitely be recommending them to our ICT co-ordinator. The Year 1 and 2 ICT CD-ROMs are intended for use by individuals or groups of up to three children and help to improve and assess ICT skills in KS1. The program provides full coverage of the ICT curriculum and includes a comprehensive guide and teacher guidance. The program is very user-friendly and its fun activities and good quality images and sounds will make it very appealing to children. Lesson plans, support notes and whole-class introductions to each lesson are provided, together with assessment and challenge activities. The software also contains an assessment record for the whole class together with a history of each pupil's work record, all of which help to make this software a joy to use for the teacher.
